Dinkiry-Stinkiry-Doo

I took my car in to the body shop yesterday to get the doors fixed after the break in.

The body shop: nice, courteous, professional, timely.

The car rental company: slow (it took about an hour to get a car), under-staffed, and they didn’t come to pick me up in a reasonable time, the body shop guys took me over to the rental place.

Then, oh then, I got one of the most craptacular cars ever, the Toyota Echo. Not only does it feel flimsy driving (I mean, it’s grounded okay, but it bounces around a bit too easy. I’m thinking I need some sand-bags in the trunk or something), but the seats are uncomfortable and the controls are all in harder to reach locations.

I so can’t wait to get my far superior VW Passat back. At least I won’t be phantom clutching in that.

Sick Sucks!

Scratch-A-Ratch-A-Ratch!

Ugh, I have no idea where they’ve come from, but I’ve got hives. It’s not too bad, they don’t spread, but they do itch like mad. I can only wonder what the allergy is that has triggered them. They seem to be going away a bit, so that’s good. I just have to keep telling myself “Don’t Scratch! Don’t Scratch!“.

Well, I guess this means no new ink for me this week, I’m not going to even think about messing with that while I’ve got hives.

good-bye old friend

So, this is going to sound silly, but I don’t care. For the last 14 or so years (possibly longer) I’ve had the same digital alarm clock. I’ve become attached to the thing. It wasn’t the loudest, but when it went off my brain recognized the sound and arise I would. Now it’s not working. The clock functions work,  I can set the alarm, there’s just no noise when it’s supposed to go off.

What I loved about that clock was that it was simple: time and noise, that’s it. I’ve now gotten a new clock, it has a radio I’ll probably never use. We’ll see how it goes, I’m willing to search for the perfect alarm clock (actually, I should just force myself to not use one, but I know I’ll end up missing a flight that way or something) but I’ll try the new one out for a while and then see where it goes.
